The Piano Institute offers a workshop of intensive study comprising master classes and
private lessons, with emphasis on technique, interpretation, and repertoire. All
participants have daily access to air conditioned private practice facilities equipped
with grand pianos and have opportunities for weekly individual conferences. Guest
lectures by renowned personalities in the contemporary music world are a special feature.
Public performance opportunities are offered to all students who wish to participate.

Summer Camps
43rd Annual High School Summer Music Camp
July 5 - 10, 2004
We will again feature small instrumental and vocal ensembles along with
master classes in piano, organ, and voice and private lessons for all
campers. And of course we will be performing new music directly off
publisher's shelves in the chorus, band, and jazz band. You'll also find
elective courses of your choice and just a lot of summer fun. Oh yes,
one of the highlights of camp is our "concert under the stars night" at
the Mann Music Center with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Resident and
commuter student early registration discount before June 1, 2004. For

Jazz Journey Summer Camp

An intensive and comprehensive study of the tradition, performance, and
development of the music we call jazz, in an informal and cooperative
atmosphere. We encourage all ages/levels . . . whether you're a 12 year
old middle school student, a 20 year old college student, a 30 year old
professional or band director, or a 75 year old retiree . . . there's
