Education
B.M., Susquehanna University; M.M. Temple University; Education Certificate, Millersville University

Ann McFarland received a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance and a Master’s degree in music history. She holds Orff-Schulwerk certificates from West Chester University and Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (University of Cincinnati). Her principal teachers included John Fries, Galen Deibler, Susan Starr, Mildred Parker, Eve Meyers, and René Boyer-Alexander.

Mrs. McFarland is a resident of Millersville, where she has been active as a private piano instructor and professional accompanist. She has presented music workshops in Pennsylvania and Maryland. She is currently working toward her doctorate degree.

Prior to coming to West Chester in 1999, Mrs. McFarland taught elementary general music and strings in the public school system.
