A Message from the
Dean of the School of Music
West Chester University

This Concert Season for the West Chester University of Pennsylvania School of Music promises to be truly outstanding. In addition to recitals by our stellar faculty artists, we are offering numerous concerts by our notable student organizations. In addition to Swope Hall as a performance venue, we also have the beautiful Emilie K. Asplundh (sample sound clips from our cd) Concert Hall as well as the inviting Philips Autograph Library. Both are equipped with new Steinway grand pianos.
To add to the excitement, all of us are busy planning for the opening of the new School of Music and Performing Arts Center. As you can see the School of Music at West Chester University is on the move.
To those who have attended our concerts in the past, I am certain you will find this season to be one of exceptional quality. Our students and faculty have a long tradition of providing high-quality performances to the community and region. If you have yet to attend one of our events or have not done so in some time, you will be impressed by the degree of excellence you will experience. Almost all events are available to you without charge.
Please join us in the coming concert season. We are proud of the musical opportunities that await you and I look forward to seeing you there!
Timothy V. Blair, DMA
Dean of the School of Music
